Inspired by the blow hole Spouting Horn at Poipu Beach, Kauai. One of the most beautiful places I have ever seen! Original hand stretched 11x19 acrylic pour on canvas with blue, aqua, silver, white, and black using a Dutch pour technique.
This painting has already been finished with multiple coats of high quality epoxy which is UV resistant. It gives the painting an amazing glass like finish! It currently hangs in a portrait orientation, but can be easily changed. Using the dried paint from my first pour, I applied paint skins to two areas to add dimension. These give a very slight 3D appearance to the piece, but caused some texturing to the sides. The face of the painting is completely flat!
